Forum for Clinical and Surgical Oral Pathology Case BBOPF 14-3 Dr. Mitzi Moldauer and Dr. Shoff (Lackland, AFB. San Antonio, Texas. USA) are kindly requesting your opinion about management of a patient with recurrent lesions of the gingiva. Please send your comments in the window located below the images. This case will be posted from August 28-September 30, 2014. A summary of the responses will then be posted. Clinical History This is a 52 year old caucasian female with recurrent lesions of the attached gingiva. Multiple biopsies were diagnosed as consistent with peripheral ossifying fibromas, peripheral odontogenic fibromas and pyogenic granulomas. The patient's medications incuded Topomax and hormonal replacement (estrogen/progesterone) for menopause. She discontinued both without any improvement of the gingiva. She has very good oral hygiene and past treatment included deep scaling and gingivectomies. The patient has now some gingival recession, therefore continue to excise these lesions is likely not the best option. Any input on management would be appreciated. Thank you for your help.
