History

These photos are of a 10 day-old baby, the son of a dentist. There are 5 bumps clustered together near the tip of his tongue (3 dorsal, one on tip, one ventral). They are round-to-oblong, ranging about 1-4 mm. They are yellowish, slightly raised and smooth. They resemble mucoceles, are somewhat soft to touch but not fluctuant. They don't seem to hurt or bother him at all. He had them at birth, and they have not changed in the 10 days since.

There are no other lesions in his mouth, and he has no other health problems; there is no history of amyloidosis in the family. The pediatrician has no idea what they are either.

Your input will be greatly appreciated.
