Dr. Sérgio Vitorino Cardoso (Department of Oral Pathology, School of Dentistry Federal University of Uberlândia. Brazil) invites your diagnosis, comments and management suggestions for one of his cases. Please send your comments in the window located below the images. This case will be posted from June 17 to June 24, 2008. A summary of the responses will be posted later in BBOP.

Clinical History

A 22 year-old male sought dental care. An oral examination by a prosthodontist revealed the presence of several deciduous teeth and edentulous spaces. A panoramic film showed multiple unerupted teeth in the maxilla and mandible. These retained teeth show apparent alterations in the morphology of their crowns. The patient is otherwise normal and his past clinical history is noncontributory.

Would you please submit your diagnosis for this case?
Any management suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
