Case BBOPF 04-1

Dr. Robert Howell is requesting your clinical impression on the following case. Please send your comments in the window located below the clinical image. This case was posted from February 16 to February 27, 2004. A summary of the responses will be available in BBOP.

Clinical History

I just saw, a 13 yr. old male with multiple white papules-plaques on his buccal mucosa, lips, ventral of tongue and floor of mouth. He also has a fissured tongue. His 18 year old brother also has fissured tongue but not papules or plaques. I haven't gotten a biopsy yet; but, I was thinking of Heck disease. I've only seen one other case and the lesions were much more nodular.

What is your clinical impression ?
